Cassie Nova’s Freakmas Show Raised $15K for the Children
Dallas, Texas – December 7, 2021 – Cassie Nova’s Freakmas Onesie Party set a new all-time high donation record.
Hosted at JR’s Bar and Grill, the annual fundraiser benefits children at the Personalized Learning Preparatory at Sam Houston’s Secret Santa Program – a DISD elementary school.
Raffle and auction items were made possible through the support of local businesses and community members. Cassie Nova’s Freakshow cast members donated 100% of their tip money earned during drag performances.
“It warms my heart to see the LGBTQ+ community come out and support this program,” Cassie said. “Everyone deserves to have a great holiday, and I love that my community can help give it to these kids.”
Caven Enterprises adopted Sam Houston Elementary over 25 years ago and has continued to support fundraising efforts to aid needed services and supplies. Caven’s mission is to create a better educational environment for students and staff. Sam Houston has been in existence for nearly 110 years, making it one of the oldest DISD elementary schools in the district, and within that time, the school has educated some of the lowest income students in Dallas.
The event took place Monday, December 6, 2021, raising over $15,000.00 in donations, auction proceeds, and a special contribution from Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.
