Party at the Block

Founded in 1969 by Frank H. Caven, Caven Enterprises has been an integral part of the Dallas gay community ever since. The company has operated over 40 nightclubs in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and El Paso, Texas; Washington D.C.; Tampa, Orlando and Key West, Florida. Mr. Caven was succeeded as CEO by Denis Weir in 1988. In 1996, Mr. Weir was succeeded by Jack Polachek. Gregg Kilhoffer currently serves as President.
Caven Enterprises became an employee-owned company in 2007. Team members become vested with company stock over their tenure with the company. As a result, over half of our 150 team members have 5 or more years with us.
In addition to operating four of Texas' most successful nightclubs, CEI also owns and manages commercial real estate in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas.
